DESCRIPTION:Join the Friends of the Three Bears at Papa Bear (7175 Main ST Ovid\, NY) on August 12th from 6:00 to 9:00pm: Local artist Ben Marlan will lead you through an exploration of identity\, expression\, and creativity through mixed media self-portraiture. Use paint\, collage\, and found objects to build layered works that live somewhere between painting and sculpture. All materials provided\, though participants are encouraged to bring a mirror for closer self-study. No art experience necessary—just curiosity and a willingness to look inward. SUMMARY:Watercolor with Norma Luther
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Interlaken Public Library\, 8390 Main Street in Interlaken New York on Thursday\, August 13th at 1pm for a Norma Luther Watercolor Class! Learn to paint layers of watercolor to create a soft look with these two cardinals.  Students will also learn to paint distant branches and berries besides closeups.  Students will complete the lesson on a 9 x 12 watercolor paper. They will learn step by step plus giving individual attention.  All materials will be provided and each person will take home a completed piece\, free to enjoy. \nTo register for this program\, please phone the library at (607) 532-4341.
