Teen Library Advisory Board (TLAB)

What is TLAB?

TLAB stands for Teen Library Advisory Board! This group meets regularly to advise the librarian about programs and materials that are of interest to them and to ensure the library has ample offerings for their demographic.

What do you get out of it?

TLAB teens are given very few restrictions when it comes to development of their space, collection and programs. We establish a budget and teens make purchasing requests directly to the librarian. Teens also learn Robert’s Rules of Order as their group operates as a board of trustees, which is a critical skill for anyone interested in having influence or getting involved in their community.

Time spent in TLAB counts towards your public service hours

When do they meet?

Meetings currently take place in the Library on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm. To join, just attend!
