Story Art in the Park

Join us in the park at the Interlaken Public Library at 8390 Main Street, Interlaken on August 31, 2022 from 2-3pm while Ms. Jill reads an art-inspired story and children are let loose to be creative with art on canvas. All supplies provided with themes selected from popular children’s books.

Enrollment is required due to limited supplies – phone the library at (607) 532-4341 to enroll.

Take-and-Make

Children learn through play, and sometimes that play happens on a flexible schedule. Join us at the Interlaken Public Library for six different take-and-make creative art activities for at-home learning. Activities can be picked up on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month during library open hours, with activities changing all summer long. Activities available on a first come, first serve basis. Check our Facebook page for detailed announcements of each project!

Learn how to plan, create, and draw a comic with published artist, Ken Wheaton! Ken Wheaton has done comics for DC and many others, but has most notably inked comics for Futurama and Bart Simpson Comics. This camp will be in the Edith B. Ford Memorial Library starting July 18th to the 22nd from 11am to 2pm. Every comic submission from the week will be compiled and published in a booklet and handed out on a later date to camp participants, friends, and family (date to be determined).

Craft Camp

Come to the Edith B. Ford Memorial Library in Ovid, NY for a week of pirate-themed crafts this summer! Create and take home handmade maps, jellyfish lanterns, and a captain’s log. Starting Monday, July 11 and ending on Friday, July 15th, this camp will run from 1pm to 2pm during the week. This camp is for all ages and requires registration to participate.
