Join skilled genealogist and researchers twice per month online via Zoom for an interesting discussion on genealogy. This is a great opportunity for those doing family or lineage research to gain some tips and tricks from experienced researchers. Members share resources and knowledge, support and a shared love of history. Registration is required, this virtual program is free and hosted by the Interlaken Public Library.

Coverlet Study Group

Join us the first Friday of each month to discuss, learn and share information, resources and enthusiasm for coverlets of all kinds. Enthusiasts, collectors, weavers, researchers, dealers and curators are all welcome for a brief presentation followed by discussion, questions and answers. This program is hosted by the Interlaken Public Library online via Zoom and is free to attend.

Library Board of Trustees Meeting

Join the Interlaken Public Library Board of Trustees for their monthly meeting. These meetings are open to the public and are currently being held at the Town of Covert Municipal Building in Interlaken, New York. No enrollment required to attend, free to attend.

Book Sale Trail

Join all five Seneca County libraries for a book sale trail spanning the entire county! Each of the five Seneca County Libraries – Interlaken Public Library, Lodi Whittier Library, Edith B. Ford Memorial Library, Seneca Falls Library and Waterloo Library and Historical Society – will have their annual book sale on their respective properties. Come out and support your local libraries!

Community Garden

Join Library Director Andrea Tillinghast and new Teen Advocate Brooke Donnelly for some leisurely gardening at the Library’s Community Garden Plot at the Ovid Community Garden. CCE Educators and Master Gardeners will be on hand at each program providing info and plant education. Contact the library for further info about the Ovid Community Garden. This program takes place every other Thursday starting July 7th until September 1st. Registration is required. This program is open to ages 16+ and is completely free.

Doug’s Fish Fry

Doug’s Fish Fry will be located at the South Seneca Elementary School lower parking lot on Wednesday, August 31st 11:00am to 6:00pm. Grab dinner for your family and help support the Friends of the Interlaken Public Library! A proceed of sales will go towards support of the Friends group, which aims to advocate and fundraise on behalf of the Interlaken Public Library.
