Enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and delightful holiday treats as we celebrate the season together. This event is FREE and open to everyone, so bring your friends and family for a cozy afternoon of fun! No registration is required and families will receive a complimentary copy of Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch.

Join us in Papa Bear (7175 Main St Ovid, NY) on December 12th from 5:30 to 7:30 to build your own wreath! Phoebe Van Vleet from Thistle Flower Farm will discuss sustainable floristry, pinecone wiring, and demonstrate how to construct a medium wreath using a variety of local evergreens, dried flowers from her farm, and pinecones. Each participant will then create their own long-lasting, fragrant, full wreath to take home with them. All materials and tools are provided, but we recommend that participants bring a pair of gloves. Free to attend, but space is limited. Please be sure to register by emailing threebearsovid@gmail.com for a form as soon as possible!

Join the Town of Fayette Historical Society as we celebrate Fayette’s 225th Anniversary! Our annual Holiday Happening and Christmas Ball, which includes dinner and historic 1800’s era dancing with a live caller, will be held from 4:30-8 pm Sunday, December 28th, 2025 at Ventosa Vineyard’s La Vista e Bella Ballroom located at 3440 NY 96A, Geneva, NY 14456. Formal attire is recommended including historic gowns and clothing. This event is recommended for adults, teens and children. Preregistration with a purchased ticket is required for admission. Tickets are available online at www.fayettehistory.com. A silent auction and raffle will be held throughout the evening with proceeds going towards renovation work on Fayette’s Historic Stone church and our 1846 Historical Society building.

Join the Friends of the Three Bears this fall at Papa Bear (7175 Main ST Ovid, NY): Local performer Nate Marshall will teach students how to juggle and perform other basic circus acts using various props such as: spinning plates, balancing feathers, hats, and balls on November 20, 2025 from 5 to 7pm. This class is free to attend, suitable for all ages, and open to the public. Class size is limited, so please fill out the registration form or email threebearsovid@gmail.com if you are interested!

The Friends of the Interlaken Public Library invite you to the Interlaken Masonic Lodge upstairs hall for an evening talk by Paleo-artist John Gurche on Wednesday, November 19, 7:00 p.m.

A published author, former anthropology professor, and current artist-in-residence at the Museum of the Earth, John is regarded as one of the foremost artists reconstructing human ancestors in the world.

His work has been featured in publications, television specials, and museums around the world, including seven National Geographic covers, USPS postal stamps, and more. He was commissioned by Steven Spielberg to create the artwork that inspired the Jurassic Park dinosaurs.

Come learn about John’s work on the movie Jurassic Park (1993) and his present work on early human ancestor reconstruction. Q&A to follow.

More event details: Entry fee is $10 per adult, Kids enter free. Venue is accessible for all. Street parking available. Proceeds to benefit the Friends of the Interlaken Public Library.
