As it happens, Ted the Turtle’s birthday falls over the school winter break!

In honor of our beloved’ Ted the Turtle’s birthday, the library has extended hours and expanded programming the whole week of winter break.

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 20TH THRU FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 24TH
LIBRARY HOURS: 9AM – 5PM


Please note: All programs are free, don’t require registration, and snacks will be provided throughout the day thanks to a generous donation from the Geneva Wegmans!

Monday

10am: Ted’s Troupe Storytime
Join Mrs. Weatherby in the Patricia Moore Storytime Corner for a turtle-themed storytime in honor of Ted the Turtle’s birthday! Encourage your child’s love of learning thru reading, song, art and play at the library. 

1pm: Teen Duct Tape Wallets
Make your own custom wallet using duct tape! All creation and decoration supplies provided.

Tuesday

10am: Turtle Movie Marathon
Children are invited to join us in the library for a showing of A Turtle’s Tale: Sammy’s Adventures, rated PG. 

1pm: Turtle Movie Marathon
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, showtime starts at 1pm! 

Wednesday

10am: Mario Kart Video Game Tournament
A fun video game for younger children, bring your siblings and friends for a video game tournament in the morning. Console and game provided. **This activity has a prize!

1pm: Mario Kart Video Game Tournament
Suitable for teens and older children, join us for a game tournament Wednesday afternoon. Nintendo Switch provided!  ** This activity has a prize!

Thursday

10am: Stuffy Sleepover & Pizza Party
Bring your friendliest stuffy friend to the library for a morning children’s program, complete with pizza at the end. Stuffy’s can spend the night in the library with Ted the Turtle in celebration of his birthday, and complete some fun activities in the meantime. 

1pm: Diamond Painting for Teens
Enjoy this calming, meditative craft with friends. 6 turtle-inspired designs to choose from, all materials and supplies included. Whatever you don’t finish in the library can be easily taken home for more crafting fun. Browse the library while you’re here, bring some friends!

Friday

10am: Stuffy Pickup and Turtle Crafts
Enjoy the library and a fun turtle craft, and pick up your stuffy if you attended Thursday’s stuffy sleepover.

1pm: Plant Wall Craft
Come build a plant wall for the teen room! All supplies provided, suitable for teens.
